Kate Baker, LMT
More than 20 years ago, my personal journey led me into the practice of bodywork. I take a holistic approach to my work in each of the four treatment methods I offer: Therapeutic Massage, Connective Tissue Massage, Reiki, and Structural Integration (SI), which now constitutes the primary focus of my practice.
Mindful of the physical, spiritual and intellectual dimensions of health and well-being, I strive to form a partnership with clients to release their body’s own restorative powers and put them on the path to greater energy and balance in all aspects of life.
As a practitioner, my own path has been one of profound growth and self-development. This has been especially true of the nearly 10 years I have spent in studies and a mentoring relationship with John Latz, founder of the Institute for Structural Integration in Miami, Florida.
SI has been a passion of mine from the moment I first touched into the body’s fascial layers during my first Connective Tissue Massage class with John in 2002. In the years since, I have devoted myself to learning this powerful treatment mode and offering its benefits to my clients.
In addition to ongoing study in my field, my work as a practitioner of Structural Integration, CTM, Therapeutic Massage and Reiki is informed by daily yoga and meditation practices.
