structural integration
Structural Integration is a holistic approach consisting of a series of 10 sessions designed to address the entire fascial system. At the same time, it is also a teaching protocol for improving postural alignment and integrated movement. The sessions are received, ideally, in a succession of 10 weeks. Life isn't always measured so adaptation of timing is always possible. The integration of the fascial network around the center line is a process of releasing old patterns and integration of more functional patterns around the center line, emphasis on process. There is a 3 series that is designed to periodically release fascial layers and instill the line so that integration can deepen and progress. A single session can be applied if there is need due to injury or elevated stress.
Benefits of SI:
Improved postural alignment
Increased energy
Chronic pain relief
Assistance in recovery from injury, surgery, or illness
Increased stamina
Enhanced athletic performance
Heightened body awareness
Better balance
Potential release of emotional trauma
Connective Tissue Massage
Connective Tissue Massage (CTM) restores length and flexibility throughout the entire muscular system, normalizing the tissue and bringing greater health through the fascial network. It is very effective at releasing held patterns of tension that often create discomfort in the body.
CTM uses the same techniques of fascial release as Structural Integration (SI), but stays at the more superficial layers of the connective tissue. That doesn’t mean the work is superficial. Deep change can be felt through the release of superficial fascia.
Benefits of CTM:
Relief from chronic tension and pain.
Increased ease of movement and flexibility
Improved posture
Enhanced self-awareness
Overall peace throughout your body.
A good approach is to address the whole body thoroughly over the course of multiple treatment sessions. Each person’s needs are individual, please contact me, and we can discuss your needs and goals. CTM can also be received as a full body massage in a single 75-minute session.
